In fact, the rosette of a door handle is the part to which the handle is fixed, while the escutcheon is the perforated part where the door key passes through. We can therefore say that a door handle on a back plate has a plate that connects the rosette and the escutcheon.
The plate can be perforated (Patent, Yale), have a toilet latch, or be blank if it has no holes. Furthermore, the length of the plate can vary from state to state and depending on the drilling.
